Ipad 2 - Apple Event

Right now Steve Jobs is just wrapping up the Ipad 2 event at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Fransisco. The long awaited sequel to the first ipad that started the tablet revolution just over a year ago. The ipad 2 now finally has both a front facing and a back camera to enable video recording as well as conferencing.

Apple has upgraded the processer to a A5 1 Ghz custom processor that is twice as fast as the old one and they have made it one third thinner than it’s predecessor. The ipad 2 will come with the new iOs 4.3 that brings a few new features and some cosmetic improvements.

The general impression is that they have added two cameras, upgraded the hardware and made it sleeker and while these changes seem somewhat underwhelming i believe they have further improved one of Apple’s best products and the leading tablet on the market. Why over-fix it if it ain’t broke?

The ipad 2 will start selling in the us on march 11 and in other countries on march 25.
